Overview
The MT20 has been designed to measure wooden beams and wood boards across two different thickness ranges. The readings provided represent the average wood moisture percentage (the percentage of water in the wood relative to the mass of dry wood). The measurement is based on the dielectric constant of the wood sample being tested, which is characteristic of each material and influenced by the presence of water molecules. This type of measurement allows for a quick assessment of the material’s moisture content without damaging the wood sample being tested.
